Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of JSM LaunchPad.

Effective date: February 2026  ·  Last updated: February 2026

1 Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using JSM LaunchPad ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

JSM LaunchPad is provided by Let's Talk Solutions Ltd (Company No. 16313782, "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. Registered Office: 37b Stockwell Road, London, SW9 9QB, United Kingdom.

2 Description of Service

JSM LaunchPad is an Atlassian Forge application that creates object schemas within Jira Service Management (JSM) Assets. The App:

  • Creates new JSM Assets schemas, including object types, attributes, and relationships, based on pre-built templates
  • Allows you to export existing schemas to a portable interchange format
  • Allows you to import schemas from interchange files
  • Runs entirely within the Atlassian Forge platform, inside your Jira Cloud instance

What the App does not do: JSM LaunchPad only creates new schemas. It does not modify, overwrite, or delete your existing Assets schemas, object types, attributes, or data. Every deployment is additive.

3 Eligibility

To use JSM LaunchPad, you must:

  • Have a valid Jira Cloud instance with JSM Assets enabled
  • Have Jira administrator permissions (required to install Forge apps and create Assets schemas)
  • Be authorised by your organisation to install and use third-party applications on the Jira instance

4 Account and Access

JSM LaunchPad is distributed through the Atlassian Marketplace. Your installation and use of the App is also subject to Atlassian's own terms of service and marketplace policies.

We do not create or manage user accounts. Access to the App is governed by your Jira Cloud instance permissions and your Atlassian Marketplace subscription.

5 Service Tiers and Pricing

JSM LaunchPad offers multiple service tiers:

  • Free tier — includes the Core and Basic CMDB schemas at no cost, with no time limit
  • Pro tier — unlocks additional schemas for standard use cases
  • Enterprise tier — unlocks large-scale schemas with 20+ object types

Pricing and tier availability are managed through the Atlassian Marketplace. We reserve the right to change pricing or adjust what is included in each tier, with reasonable notice.

6 Acceptable Use

You agree to use JSM LaunchPad for legitimate business purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App or its templates
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or template content outside of the Atlassian Marketplace
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or Atlassian's terms of service
  • Attempt to circumvent tier restrictions or licensing controls

7 Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, template schemas, documentation, and website content, is the intellectual property of Let's Talk Solutions Ltd. All rights are reserved unless explicitly stated otherwise.

When you deploy a schema using JSM LaunchPad, the resulting schema in your Jira instance is yours to use, modify, and build upon as you see fit. We do not claim ownership of the schemas once they are deployed to your environment.

The template designs themselves (the JSON definitions, structure patterns, and attribute configurations) remain our intellectual property and may not be extracted for redistribution or use in competing products.

8 Data and Privacy

JSM LaunchPad runs on the Atlassian Forge platform. This means:

  • The App executes within Atlassian's infrastructure, inside your Jira Cloud instance
  • We do not receive, store, or process your Assets data on our own servers
  • Schema creation happens through Atlassian's APIs within the Forge sandbox
  • If you optionally provide API credentials (for advanced reference type configuration), these are stored in Forge's encrypted storage within your instance, not on our systems

For details on how Atlassian handles data within Forge apps, please refer to Atlassian's Forge data residency documentation.

9 Schema Safety

JSM LaunchPad is designed to be safe to use on production environments. The App operates on a strict create-only principle:

  • The App only creates new schemas. It never modifies existing schemas.
  • The App does not edit, overwrite, or delete existing object types, attributes, or relationships.
  • The App does not touch existing Assets data or objects.
  • Every deployment is additive — your existing work is never affected.

If a schema deployment fails partway through (for example, due to a timeout or API error), partial results may remain in your Assets instance. These can be safely removed manually if needed.

10 Disclaimer of Warranties

JSM LaunchPad is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take care to build reliable, well-structured templates, we make no warranties or guarantees that:

  • The schemas will be a perfect fit for your organisation without customisation
  • The App will be uninterrupted or error-free at all times
  • The schemas will meet specific regulatory, compliance, or industry requirements without modification

Template schemas are designed as practical starting points based on real-world service management implementations. They are intended to accelerate your setup, not replace your own assessment of what your organisation needs. You are responsible for reviewing, customising, and validating any deployed schema before relying on it in production workflows.

11 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Let's Talk Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12 Third-Party Services

JSM LaunchPad depends on Atlassian's platform, APIs, and infrastructure. We are not responsible for:

  • Outages, changes, or limitations in the Atlassian Forge platform or JSM Assets APIs
  • Changes to Atlassian's terms of service or Marketplace policies
  • The availability or compatibility of Jira Cloud or JSM Assets features

If Atlassian makes changes that affect the App's functionality, we will make reasonable efforts to update the App accordingly, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.

13 Termination

You may stop using JSM LaunchPad at any time by uninstalling the App from your Jira Cloud instance through the Atlassian Marketplace. Uninstalling the App does not remove schemas that have already been deployed — those remain in your JSM Assets instance and are yours to keep.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are materially breached, with reasonable notice where possible.

14 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users (for example, through the Atlassian Marketplace listing or our website).

Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
